A inteligência artificial por trás do aplicativo Papibot

Papibot is a mobile app that comes to assist English learning through the dialogue between the user and an artificial intelligence simulating an interlocutor. Through this paper it was seeked the best way to develop and train a machine learning algorithm that, applying Natural Language Processing, understands the user's speech and can produce a contextualized, understandable and engaging response. Were then analyzed the results obtained in the implementation of two open source tools - DeepPavlov and DialoGPT - using a dataset containing natural language dialogs. The most discrepant differences between the two options are DeepPavlov's accuracy and DialoGPT's flexibility in generating texts. By comparing the algorithms, it was found that DialoGPT did better in three of the five decisive factors - Performance, Ease of Implementation and Flexibility -, thus confirming its choice as the best way to implement the service.
