Recrutamento e seleção na hotelaria: um estudo sobre novas alternativas nesse processo

This study deals with the importance of people management and recruitment and selection process on the hotel industry. To reach the proposed objective, recruitment and selection process were analyzed, while new alternatives were verified, such as methods and techniques in which technology could serve on hotel industry. The paper was based on the question of what the new forms of recruitment and selection in the hotel industry would be and if the investment in these techniques could represent a differential advantage. The methodology applied was bibliographic research, in two distinct moments. At first, two modes of internal and external recruitment were investigated, and, subsequently, new forms of recruitment and selection consisting of technology. We conclude that all forms of recruitment and selection are feasible but investing in new forms and techniques with the support of technology can be useful for hotel owners. In addition to optimizing the time to carry out the process, new forms of recruitment and selection can foster attraction of new candidates and enable greater visibility to the establishment, which would also become a specific differential and, even, could provide capital savings.
